Charlotte Wilder is joining FOX Sports in a “jack of all trades” multimedia role, working across multiple digital platforms. In joining FOX Sports, Wilder is leaving Sports Illustrated where she served as a senior writer and host for 2 years. An industry vet in journalism, Wilder will look to leverage her past experience to convey meaningful stories for the FOX Sports team.
Wendy Clark is joining Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) as Global Chief Executive and Executive Officer after resigning from her role as president and chief executive with DDB Worldwide. Upon starting in September, Clark will report directly to the network’s executive chairman. Clark will help take DAN forward into the future as the brand looks to grow further into tech and data driven insights.
Georgia Sapounas is joining the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA after a 7-year stint with the Canadian Olympic Committee. In her new role, Sapounas will serve as the Director of Digital Product and Web Services, responsible for developing innovative solutions across multiple platforms. Sapounas brings an abundance of digital experience with her, most recently serving as the Director of Digital of the Candian Olympic Committee.
Jessica David will be starting a new role with Intel Sports as the Marketing Manager of Sport Sponsorships. Joining from SeventySix Capital, David will remain in the sports tech sector. A strong acumen in the intersection between sports marketing and sports tech will allow David to hit the ground running as she looks to leverage her experience as SeventySix Capital’s Director of Marketing.
Peter Naylor is joining Snap in a newly-created role that will see him become responsible for growing Snap’s advertising business in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Naylor joins from popular streaming platform Hulu where he served as the SVP of ad sales. In transitioning from Hulu to Snap, Naylor will go from a two-pronged revenue model (subscriptions and ad sales) to one prong (strictly ad sales). Experienced in working for disruptor brands, Naylor will help improve measurement, create new products and a better client experience.
David Levy is being hired as a Senior Advisor for Raine Group, a merchant bank focused on media, tech, and telecom. Levy previously served as Turner Sports’ president and has over 30 years of experience in the sports media landscape. As Raine looks to become increasingly involved in the sports advisory and investment spaces, Levy will help the brand push forward.
Charles Davis is heading from Fox to CBS to join Ian Eagle on the brand’s number two NFL broadcast team. Davis has made a name for himself in the broadcasting space over the last 15 years rising from the college football ranks to the NFL in 2015. Davis has also served as an in-game analyst for EA Sports Madden NFL since 2016.
Eric Wood is joining Activision Blizzard as SVP of Partnerships. Wood joins from Nike where he served as the Global VP of Partnerships but has worked for a number of other global sports brands including Disney and EA. In starting his new role, Wood will look to leverage both his previous experience with sports partnerships and gaming to create high-quality outcomes for Activision Blizzard.
