Premier Lacrosse League Taps NFL for Head of Marketing
After working in a variety of social roles within the NFL and a brief stint with the Sacramento Kings, Divya Goel has been announced as the new Premier Lacrosse League’s Head of Marketing. Goel most recently worked as the NFL’s Director of Media Marketing for the last year. According to her LinkedIn, Goel says she will begin “building the marketing infrastructure and strategy for the new Premier Lacrosse League to ensure long term success and create an immediately recognizable brand” in her new role with the PLL.
USA Swimming Hires Industry Vet as CCO
Shana Gritsavage Ferguson is joining USA Swimming as the governing body’s Chief Commercial Officer. In her new role, Ferguson is set to lead and manage all efforts of the Commercial Division of USA Swimming, including the core functions of sponsorship sales, revenue generation, marketing campaigns, communications, and more. Prior to coming aboard with USA Swimming, Ferguson spent over 10 years with Under Armour before her most recent stint with Icahn Automotive Group where she served as Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
Packers Hire Recent March Madness Instagram Mastermind to Assist With Social
Jennifer Fisher has announced on Twitter that she is joining the Green Bay Packers’ social team this upcoming NFL season. In her new role, Fisher will take part in curating content across the team’s various social media accounts for game days, social events, and more. Prior to making the move to Green Bay, Fisher has worked with the Iowa Athletics Marketing Department since 2017 and most recently was selected to create live content for the NCAA March Madness Instagram Story during the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 Midwest Regional Championships.
Former Saints Social Staffer Moves to Philadelphia Eagles
Charlie Jordan is joining the Philadelphia Eagles as a Digital Platforms Producer according to his recent Twitter announcement. Jordan formerly worked for both Saints and Pelicans in New Orleans with the teams’ digital departments. In his time with the New Orleans-based teams, Jordan served as a key member of the teams’ digital departments where his responsibilities included creating live game day posts across a variety of social platforms.
NFL Announces Promotion Within Social Media Staff
Elliot Grossman has been promoted to Director of Social & Collegiate Marketing with the NFL after most recently serving as the league’s Senior Manager of Social Promotion for the last year. Prior to his work with the NFL, Grossman worked with the advertising firm DDB as a Social Media Strategist where he led major social media campaigns for both the US Open and USTA.
Digital Media Vet to ACC Network
Eric Saninocencio revealed on Twitter that he is joining the newly created ACC Digital Network as the network’s Associate Commissioner of Strategic Digital Media. Saninocencio spent the last five years with the Houston Texans in the team’s digital department as Digital Media Director where he oversaw all digital assets of the Houston Texans organization.
Former BuzzFeed CRO to Join WAVE
WAVE, the fourth-largest digital sports media publisher, is expanding on their executive staff by adding Andy Wiedlin as the company’s Chief Business Officer. In his new role, Wielden is set to build custom content programs for brands wanting to build on WAVE’s momentum as one of the fastest growing sports media companies. Prior to joining WAVE, Wield most recently worked as an independent advisor after a four-year tenure with BuzzFeed as the company’s Chief Revenue Officer.
