In 140 characters or less, tell us who you are and how you got to where you are today.
I’m CEO/Founder of Sports & Entertainment Today—SET, a women’s sports lifestyle platform. Faith and commitment got me where I am today.
What’s one trend in media or marketing that you’re buying or selling?
One trend in marketing that I’m buying is leveraging social media. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter all provide amazing opportunities to push content and activations.
How do you define creativity?
Creativity is implemented innovation.
What’s the project or campaign that you’re proudest of? Why?
From films, events and the magazine, this is like asking me to choose my favorite child. More recently, the inaugural SET An Example Conference for the Women of the NFL, which welcomed 100 NFL wives and girlfriends for a weekend of empowerment, inspiration, healing and community.
What are you working on right now? Any exciting future plans that you’re able to share?
I’m looking forward to our next SET An Example Conference in Miami, as well as Players Paradise Weekend in the Bahamas, June 2019.
As a connected fan, what’s the best piece of sports content that you have recently consumed?
The best piece of sports content that I recently consumed was an E:60 piece on ESPN about Baltimore St. Francis.
What’s been the biggest high and low of working in sports?
The biggest high is the reaction/feedback from female fans as it relates to the content in SET Magazine.
The biggest low has been watching the division in sports and our nation regarding Colin Kaepernick, the other athletes that peacefully protest and the plight of black men and women in sports.
Erin Ashley Simon shares why she values creativity, how she became a Twitch host, and what MiS means to her.

What’s one element of the sports industry that you’d like to see change?
I would like to see NFL players with lifetime health insurance and guaranteed contracts.
What’s an example of one way in which MiS has positively impacted your career?
MiS has been the ultimate community for networking. I’ve been able to meet and reconnect with like-minded individuals in the industry. Sharing information and opportunities has been a huge asset. We not only cheer each other on, but we support and help to promote what the next person is doing.
