BetMGM was looking to amplify their social video presence through social-first content from the start of the NFL season through the Super Bowl. BetMGM partnered with The Game Day because of our presence and expertise in the sports betting entertainment space across social and video. BetMGM turned to TGD to develop a weekly sports-betting-focused series hosted by an influential sports betting creator as the host.
How does this represent “Excellence in Engagement”?
The "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is" format provided opportunities for fan interaction, with the show's format encouraging viewers to share their opinions, whether they agreed or disagreed with the host's predictions. Host Brandon Thierney added an element of competition to the show by awarding "money" for the most accurate predictions. The series' distribution and social media "cutdowns" also helped increase engagement, incorporating popular trends such as "Duet" trivia challenges.
Objective
Our objective was to produce a weekly NFL sports betting program that would be both entertaining and captivating, offering a refreshing change from the conventional sports betting predictions shows. The show format would incorporate elements of gamification to add an extra layer of excitement and engagement for viewers.
