As FOX Sports serves the modern sports fan with an all-encompassing sports experience, the fully reimagined and redesigned app has fans staying with FOX Sports content longer than any other platform and is the leading sports broadcaster in digital/social minutes per view.
The “For You” section further enhanced user personalization, allowing fans to follow their favorite FOX Sports shows and personalities in addition to their favorite league, team and player – making the FOX Sports app the first major sports media app to do so.
As the sports gambling industry grows, FOX Sports’ investment in betting content resulted in the FOX Sports app ranking #1 for sportsbook specific traffic with four million unique visitors in December 2021.

The addition of the “For You” section further enhanced user personalization, allowing fans to follow their favorite FOX Sports shows and personalities in addition to their favorite league, team and player.
Strategy & Execution: FOX Sports is the industry leader in sports gambling integrations and doubled down in 2021. The FOX Sports app expanded gambling content with a new dedicated odds section on the main navigation page timed to kicking-off the 2021-2022 NFL season. Fans can click on the bet tab at the bottom of their screen to receive betting details for the upcoming games with expert analysis from FOX Sports’ impressive list of on-air sports betting personalities – making the app a one-stop-shop for betting information.
Betting is pervasive throughout the FOX Sports app, and customizable bet slips were added in 2021 for users residing in states where sports betting is legal. In November 2021, gambling alerts were added allowing the dedicated gambling audience to receive push notifications with the latest information, from a team’s line movement to sporting news impacting odds of winning.

The impact of the FOX Sports App improvements is reflected in the fact that 2021 goes down as FOX Sports’ best year ever in video, amassing 23.7 billion minutes consumed - 10.2 billion of which came from streaming.

FOX Sports had a historic year of football as well with the 2021-2022 National Football League regular season and 2021 College Football season on FOX delivering 6.4 billion minutes streamed, the most-streamed season of each in FOX Sports history.

The FOX Sports app closed out 2021 with four consecutive months ranking #1 among sports media broadcasters in minutes per viewer (105 mins, up +142% YOY), beating out #2 ESPN (91 mins) by 14% while FOX Sports Digital Editorial ended 2021 with five straight months of record story readership.
