OvertimeWBB offers storytelling that goes beyond just the highlights, with hopes of inspiring girls to set their own dreams and goals.

What are the details?

The new platform will offer coverage of the sport ranging from top high school players to the WNBA, and build upon the She Hoops Network that Overtime acquired last fall.

OvertimeWBB wants to introduce fans to the next generation of female ballers, especially the ones you won’t see on TV — talented high school players like Fran Belibi, Zia Cooke, Paige Bueckers, Azzi Fudd and Shy Day-Wilson.

The bottom line:

Chloe Pavlech, who will manage OvertimeWBB, wants "to make it easy for fans to discover their next favorite player and follow them from high school all the way to the league."

Disney's not hopping on the sports-gambling gravy train

While many legacy media companies are taking a long look at how to best leverage the coming boom in legalized sports gambling, the Walt Disney Co. isn't interested in getting into the numbers racket. Chairman and CEO Bob Iger declared that the Mouse House would not be making a foray into the sportsbook business any time soon.

Iger's seeming disinterest in getting in bed with gambling may be a function of Disney's family-friendly lineage, but it also flies in the face of how other media executives are assessing the landscape.

English Premier League fans, rejoice! Intel is bringing 360-degree replay to the game

G League and Twitch expand streaming deal

Last year Twitch aired G League matches and allowed partners and affiliates to co-stream with their own commentary. Under the terms of the new deal, all streamers on Twitch will now be able to take up the co-streaming option for every G League game available on the platform across Fridays and Saturdays.

Twitch is providing a dedicated commentary-free broadcast for all users to provide their followers with an alternative take on G League games via their own channel with greater interaction.

Uber Sponsors Valencia After City Launch

The Details
Spanish LaLiga club Valencia has signed up urban transport app Uber as its Official Sponsor of mobility and innovation. Under the deal, Uber will brand signs at the Mestalla stadium and will work with the club on activations throughout the year. The American transportation network company launched its service in the city in December. Valencia joins LaLiga’s Real Betis and Sevilla in Uber’s Spanish club portfolio.
